Christmas at the Signet Library with St Mary’s Cathedral Choir

  • The Signet Library Parliament Square Edinburgh, EH1 1RF Scotland (map)

To conclude the Signet Library’s bicentenary commemorations, join us for celebration of Christmas with the Choir of St Mary’s Episcopal Cathedral. With much loved music from across the centuries and different parts of the world, this special concert will be entertaining for family, friends and colleagues. The Choir of St Mary’s Cathedral has an international reputation. Described as ‘one of Scotland’s musical jewels’, the choir consists of choristers aged 9 - 13, university choral scholars and professional musicians. Whilst enjoying a long history, the Choir is forward looking, being the first in the United Kingdom to bring girls to sing with boys in the treble line and the first to admit a female alto.

Not to be missed, this unique event brings together two of Scotland’s oldest charitable institutions in a wonderful chemistry of music, architecture and Christmas tradition.
