Charities Conference

  • The Signet Library Parliament Square Edinburgh, EH1 1RF Scotland (map)

The Society’s legal education programme begins on 16 March 2023 with the popular Charities Conference. The conference commences with a keynote address from the Cabinet Secretary for Social Justice, Housing and Local Government, Shona Robison MSP. The Cabinet Secretary will provide her insight on progress with the Charities (Regulation and Administration) (Scotland) Bill, following its introduction to Parliament in November 2022. Established as the leading legal event for the charity lawyers, charity trustees and charity professionals in Scotland, the conference programme also includes an update from OSCR, a Scottish charity law round up, what’s new in England & Wales and a practical session on the implications of emergency response programmes for both funders and service providers.
