Join us on 3 October for the WS annual joint conference with STEP for private client lawyers. The conference will be chaired by Susie Tweedie, Shepherd + Wedderburn.
2024 is a year of change – not only do we now have the Trust & Succession (Scotland) Act 2024 on the books, but we have a new government with a looming budget and a new Consultation on adults with incapacity.
This year the WS Society & STEP Scotland are excited to bring you another conference, looking at some of the key developments across the private client sector. The joint conference will feature key-note speaker Oliver Marre discussing “Risk & Reward: What the Westminster government can do about tax and what they should do”. We are also excited to welcome our other excellent speakers – Alan Barr, Yvonne Evans and Roddy MacLeod – to discuss other developments all private client practitioners should be live to. This event aims to bring together WS/STEP members, lawyers and other professionals for a half-day of tax and legal sessions with a fantastic opportunity to network and ask questions to our panel, and the STEP Scotland Committee members.
