The PNLA and WS Society present

New for 2023, the PNLA and WS Society have partnered to produce a joint conference on Professional Negligence Law, designed to address the latest issues for professional negligence litigators in Scotland. The full day programme will cover the perspectives of individuals, insurers, professional bodies, expert witnesses and the judiciary. The keynote address will be given by the Hon Lord Sandison, who will offer his reflections on professional negligence actions in the Court of Session. Further sessions include a case law review, cross-jurisdictional developments, Sheriff Murray’s view from the Sheriff Court bench and an expert witness’ thoughts on tactics and timescales to make best use of expert evidence. The conference will be jointly chaired by Cat McLean WS (BTO) for the WS Society and Karen Cornwell (Thorntons) for the PNLA.
