Personal Injury Conference

Sheriff Kathrine Mackie will open this year’s WS Personal Injury Law Conference with a keynote address on the topic of All-Scotland Sheriff PI Court. Sheriff Mackie will provide her insight into establishing values in the new specialist court.

The conference programme will also cover:

  • Case law update, including the recent Supreme Court decision Kennedy v Cordia (Services) LLP
  • Current developments in quantum
  • Expert witnesses: a medical expert’s insight into orthopaedic conditions
  • Rehabilitation: case management in brain injury cases
  • Foreign travel claims – the complexities and implications of accidents overseas
